Heart valve disease represents a significant health challenge in the UK, where approximately one million people over 65 years of age are thought to suffer from the condition. Heart Valve Voice is a charity whose aim is simple; they want to address the under-diagnosis and under-treatment of heart valve disease in the UK. Through raising awareness online and improving understanding of the disease they hope to see real changes made to the process that patients go through.
Frank Health delivered a digital solution faithful to Heart Valve Voice's branding, including a "Give a Voice" Pledge area where people can pledge their support for the charity and the promotion of early detection, a news and events system, plenty of easy-to-digest information separated into specialist sections for Patients, Family and Friends and Health Professionals, as well as social media and video integration.
Since the new website's launch, Heart Valve Voice have seen an increase in the number of visits to the website and pledges made. The website encourages users to get involved by volunteering, becoming an ambassador or joining the patient advisory group. It couldn't be easier for patients and relatives to access information on heart valve disease, putting their minds at risk when preparing for treatment or a check-up.
